July 29 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's fuel retailer Makpetrol [MSE:MPT] reported a net profit of 209.5 million denars ($4 million/3.4 million euro) for the first half of 2021 on Thursday, compared with a profit of 89.9 million denars booked in the like period last year.
Total operating revenues amounted to 8.8 billion denars in the period under review, up 11.5% year-on-year, the company said in an interim financial statement filed with the stock exchange in Skopje.
Domestic sales rose 12% to 8.6 billion denars, while sales abroad fell 8.3% on the year to 177.4 million denars in the January-June period.
Makpetrol's operating expenses increased by 9.6% to 8.6 billion denars.
The company's shares last traded on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) on July 27, at an average price of 74,500 denars, bourse data showed.
Makpetrol has a network of over a hundred filling stations across North Macedonia. The company also has units in neighbouring Serbia and Greece.
