September 17 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's car dealer Euroimpex has signed a contract to become Opel's import partner for Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Albania, the German carmaker said.
After the transaction, Euroimpex will become Opel's wholesale importer for these countries by acquiring the Opel business in them, Opel said in a statement last week.

The transaction and the launch of the new business model is subject to the official merger approval of the respective authorities.
Established in 1990, Euroimpex has been the official importer for the Peugeot brand since 1994. The company has been Peugeot importer for Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Albania for the last five years. Peugeot and Opel are both owned by French car manufacturer Groupe PSA.
Opel sold about 2,500 vehicles in Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Albania last year.
