September 23 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's government said on Wednesday it has signed an agreement to provide state aid to coffee machines manufacturer WIK Macedonia, the local unit of German electrical appliances production group WIK, in support of the company's second investment cycle worth 2.5 million euro ($2.9 million).
The investment is expected to lead to the employment of 100 people at WIK Macedonia's factory near the town of Prilep, in the central part of the country, North Macedonia's government said in a statement.
The agreement was signed by Fatmir Bytyqi, deputy prime minister in charge of economic affairs at North Macedonia's government, and Werner Schoeb, general manager of WIK Macedonia.
In its first investment cycle, WIK Macedonia invested 10.5 million euro in a factory that currently employs 250 people, Bytyqi said, as quoted in the statement.
