October 13 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's government decided to continue requiring a negative Covid-19 test result from incoming citizens of Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia due to a recent rise in new cases in those countries, it said, reversing an earlier decision to drop the requirement.
However, citizens of Kosovo will not be required to show a negative Covid-19 test result upon entry, North Macedonia's government said in a statement over the weekend.
The statement was published on October 11, a day before the earlier decision to drop the Covid-19 border restrictions for citizens of Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia was scheduled to take effect.
On Sunday, North Macedonia confirmed 177 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total count to 21,113, health ministry data shows. So far, 797 people have died from the Covid-19 disease in North Macedonia.
