PODGORICA (Montenegro), February 15 (SeeNews) – Household electricity consumption in Montenegro rose 2.6% year-on-year to 137.9 million kWh in January, the country's power utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) said on Monday.
On a monthly comparison basis, household electricity consumption in Montenegro grew by 11.2% in January, EPCG said in a statement.
The average monthly household electricity bill in Montenegro was 42.0 euro ($51.0) in January.
The highest average monthly electricity bill, of 54.28 euro, was paid by households in Podgorica, while the lowest one, of 21.60 euro, was registered in the town of Berane.
The Montenegrin government owns 88.7% of EPCG, followed by the company itself with 10%. The remainder belongs to smaller shareholders.
