February 3 (SeeNews) - Montenegro sold 184.5 million euro ($198 million) worth of treasury bills in 2016, up 5.3% on the year, central bank data showed.
The country's finance ministry issued treasury bills with a combined nominal value of 176 million euro in 2016, up 17.4% on the year, while total demand declined by 11.2% to 214.1 million euro.
A total of eight auctions of treasury bills were carried out in 2016, versus seven in the previous year.
Montenegro placed seven 182-day treasury bill issues and one with a 56-day maturity.
The 2.67% yield on the 182-day treasury bills worth 10 million euro placed in April was the highest among the eight issues. The 18.484 million euro 182-day treasury bill issue placed in January, in turn, had the lowest yield, of 0.53%.
