October 15 (SeeNews) - Moldova's trade deficit widened by 44.3% on the year to $2.594 billion (2.235 billion euro) in the first eight months of 2021, the country's statistics bureau said on Friday.
Moldova's exports rose 18.6%, while imports surged by 32.5% during January-August the statistics office said in a statement.
In August alone, exports rose 44.2% on the year to $236 million, while imports rose 32.7% to $575 million.
