October 15 (SeeNews) - Moldova's trade deficit narrowed by 10.4% on the year to $1.778 billion (1.516 billion euro) in the first eight months of the year, the country's statistics bureau said on Thursday.
Moldova's exports fell 13.6%, while imports decreased by 11.9% through August, the statistics office said in a statement.
In August alone, exports fell 20.8% on the year to $2165.6 million, while imports edged fell 12.6% to $433.8 million.
Moldova's trade deficit widened by 0.3% on the year to $3.062 billion in 2019.
