August 26 (SeeNews) - The blue chip index of the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) ended higher this week as weekly turnover doubled, bourse data indicated.
The benchmark MBI-10 index of the MSE closed 1.9% higher at 1,955.13 after adding 1.6% in the week to August 19.
MSE's turnover on the official market totalled 12.4 million denars ($227,600/201,700 euro), up from 5.6 million denars a week earlier.
Komercijalna Banka [MSE:KMB] was the most traded company this week, generating a turnover of 10.8 million denars with a total of 4,435 shares changing hands.
The MSE bond index, the OMB, closed at 127.36 points, slightly higher from 127.31 points last Friday.
