September 23 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip index of the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) ended lower this week as turnover rose, bourse data indicated on Friday.
The benchmark MBI-10 index of the MSE closed 0.61% lower after decreasing 0.75% in the week to September 16.
MSE's turnover on the official market totalled 38.6 million denars ($707,480/631,150 euro) including 1.5 million denars from trading in denationalisation bonds. Denationalisation bonds had been issued to compensate owners for their once forcefully nationalised real estate. Last week's turnover on the official market totalled 30.7 million denars.
Fuel retailer Makpertol [MSE:MPT] was the most traded company this week, generating a turnover of 14.7 million denars with a total of 600 shares changing hands.
The MSE bond index, the OMB, closed at 127.31 points, slightly down from 127.35 last Friday.
