December 9 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Macedonia declined 10.7% on the year in October, to 291, the statistics office said on Friday.
The estimated value of construction projects covered by building permits issued in October fell 44.1% year-on-year to 2.8 billion denars ($48.3 million/45.6 million euro).
A total of 187 permits were issued for new buildings, 36 for civil engineering projects, and 68 for reconstruction projects in October.
During the review period, 675 dwellings were planned for construction, with total usable floor area of 52,163 sq m.
Out of the 291 total, 193 permits were issued to individuals in October.
