March 31 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip share index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) gained ground on Tuesday, as Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG] shares erased losses from the previous trading day, bourse data showed.
The SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and capitalised stocks on the LJSE, closed Tuesday's session 1.39% higher at 733.15 points.
Telekom Slovenije shares gained most among SBITOP members, rising 3.76% to 44.20 euro. The company led decliners on Monday with a 3.4% share price decrease.
Other notable gainers among blue chips were chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] and insurer Sava Re [LJE:POSR], which added 3.47% and 2.86%, respectively.
Trade in shares in pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] generated more than one-third of the day's trading turnover. Total regulated market turnover amounted to just over 1.6 million euro ($1.8 million) on Tuesday, while trade in Krka shares generated some 640,000 euro.
