In 2007, 5,129 titles of books and brochures were published, among them 1,038 titles of literature.

In 2006 the number of books and brochures titles increased

In 2006, 4,684 titles of books and brochures were published, while in 2007 the number rose by 9.5% to 5,129 (3,631 books and 1,498 brochures). As regards the language, in 2007 85.4% were original works and 14.6% were translations, and as regards edition, 77.9% were first editions and 22.1% were re-editions.

As in the previuos year, most literature books were novels

In 2007, 1,038 titles of literature were published, that is two more than in 2006. Of all titles, 523 were Slovenian literature and 515 were foreign literature. As regards the type of literature, most literature books were novels (39.1% of all literature), followed by short stories with 25.6%, poetry with 19.8%, other types of literature with 13.7% and plays with 1.8%.
