In May 2008 the electricity generation in hydro power plants was by 45% higher than in May 2007.

Total net electricity generation in May 2008 almost on the same level as in April 2008
Compared to April 2008, in May 2008 total net electricity generation remained almost on the same level, as well as consumption. Electricity generation in hydro power plants increased by 31%, which is 45% more than in the May last year. Electricity generation in the thermal power plants decreased by 24% but in the nuclear power plant it increased by 3%.
In line with the lower electricity generation in thermal power plants, the fuel consumption decreased by 29%, especially in case of coal (by 32%).

Minimal increase of gross electricity generation in July 2008
In July 2008 the total gross electricity generation was 1,451 GWh, which is 3% more than in June.
In July 2008 Slovenia imported 409 GWh of electricity and exported 643 GWh of electricity.

Decrease of energy supply in May 2008
In May 2008 we could observe a decrease in supply with Heavy Fuel Oil - by 31%, with Lignite and Brown Coal by 28%, with Natural Gas by 13% and with Kerosene Jet Fuel by 10%. On the other hand, the supply of the rest of monitored fuels in general increased.
