1. STOCK exchange OVERVIEW
Last week the BET index increased with 4,22%, and BET-FI dropped 2,05%. The average volume was 22,05 mln EUR, a strong increase over the last period.
The Transgaz (TGNR01) allocation rights began trading last week, amounting to a total of 23,61 mln EUR. Wednesday, the first trading day, the allocation rights went up by 53% compared to the initial of 191,92 RON price.

The Authority for State assets Recovery (AVAS) set the starting price for Antibiotice Iaşi (ATB) auction. The total value is 136 mln EUR, meaning a 2 RON/share price. During the 14th of January - 17th of March period the presentation files can be bought and the offers can be made. The biding will take place on the 18th of March 2008.

SNP Petrom (SNP) announced the building of 100 PetromV gas stations. The concept was launched in 2005 and the plan is to build 250 new stations until 2010. The company will invest 130 mln EUR for constructing an office building complex in Străuleşti. The buildings will house 2.500 employees and will be named Petrom City. SNP will build this complex on a 8,3 hectares surface, and it is estimated that approx. 70% of the value of the project will be covered by selling 11 hectares that the company owns in the same location. For that, SNP has already signed a pre-contract with Raiffeisen Evolution SRL.

Oltchim (OLT) shareholders decided to postpone the AVAS debt conversion until a report made by a reputable expert (such as PriceWaterhouseCoopers or Deloitte) will be obtained, and which will contain both the nature and exact amount of the debt and the company’s economic situation.

Turbomecanica (TBM) shareholders approved the company’s relocation and gave the Board of Directors the task of presenting in the next General Shareholders Meeting a full feasibility study in order to take a final decision regarding this project. Also, the company reported buying a 50.800 square meter in the Bucharest West Park area.
Transelectrica (TEL) reported signing two contracts for upgrading the technologies used at the Gura Ialomiţei and Pestiş power stations. The total value of the two projects sums 36,3 mln EUR. The company announced that for 2007 the profit will meet the estimated 21,5 mln EUR value.

95,47% of the broker (BRK) stock offered at the share capital increase that recently ended was subscribed. The remaining 858.991 BRK shares will be offered to the employees, in a program aimed at increasing employee fidelity. The employees will be able to buy these shares at 0,76 RON/share.

During the share capital increase at Altur Slatina (ALT), 184 mln shares were subscribed, representing 17,1% out of the total share number of 1,07 bln. The value subscribed amounts to 6,32 mln EUR.

SIF Transilvania (SIF3) sold the stock owned at Viromet Victoria (VIRY), Oltenia Estival Olimp (OLTE) and Covasna Estival 2002 Neptun (CVAS). The total value of the transactions was 2,26 mln EUR. The company also announced subscribing 1.65 mln EUR at the Tratament Balnear Buziaş (BALN) and Terracotta Sf. Gheorghe (BAZL).
SIF Oltenia (SIF5) subscribed 235.402 shares at the Oltenia Leasing IFN Craiova share capital increase, for a 1,08 mln EUR value.
