PETROM Bucuresti - SNP: Petrom includes renewable energy in its projects portfolio. Petrom, the largest oil and gas producer in south-eastern Europe, promotes projects in the field of renewable energy and in order to increase the energy efficiency, in line with the EU energy strategy. By developing renewable energy projects, Petrom will make the transition from an oil and gas company to an energy player. During 2008, several projects were indentified and selected, the 2008-2009 investment budget accounting for more than EUR 2.3 Mn. The projects initiated in 2008 refer to the evaluation of Romania s geothermal potential, in order to produce energy by using depleted oil and gas fields, market evaluation for developing wind energy projects, energetic optimization of the future headquarters of Petrobrazi refinery and CO2 sequestration and re-injection in the field, in order to increase the oil recovery rate. TRANSGAZ Medias - TGN: 2007 IFRS net profit went down 32.52% YOY. Transgaz, the national transportation company, posted a 2007 net profit of RON 109.02 Mn, down 32.52% YOY and sales of RON 1.04 Bn, up 11.59% YOY, according to the IFRS financial statements. 2007 sales breakdown unveiled an increase of 18.41% YOY of the domestic gas transportation sales and a decrease of 10.54% YOY in international gas transit sales, while the gas sales went up 53.99% YOY. 2007 EBIT declined by 24.12% mainly because of a decline EBIT from international gas transit of 21.38%. SIF MUNTENIA Craiova - SIF4: SIF Muntenia sold ErsteBank shares for EUR 2.187 Mn. On July 23, SIF Muntenia sold 54,027 Erste Bank shares on Vienna Stock exchange worth EUR 2.187 Mn, for a price of EUR 40.5.
