The business results of Telekom Slovenije and its subsidiaries for the first six months of this year are encouraging. In that period Telekom Slovenia Group's revenues amounted to 416.4 million euro, which is nine percent more than in the same period last year.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased by 14 percent amounting to 164.1 million euro. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) increased by the same percentage, amounting to 73.3 million euro. Net profit increased by 5 percent amounting to 48.5 million euro. The Telekom Slovenije parent company made over 204 million euro in revenues in the first six moths of this year, which is four percent more than in the same period last year.

The number of PSTN and ISDN telephony connections decreased by 10 percent, while the number of broadband xDSL, EMX, FTTH and WiMax connections increased by 15 percent to 184,636. There is also a 37 percent increase in the number of broadband connections sold wholesale. They amount to 86,247. Compared to the first six months of last year, this year Mobitel increased revenues by seven percent in the same period of time. They amounted to 225.9 million euro. EBIT amounted to 46 million euro, which is 27 percent more than in the same period last year. EBITDA amounted to 83 million euro, 17 percent more than last year. Net profit increased by 32 percent and amounted to 32.8 million euro for the first six months. At the end of June of 2008, Mobitel had 1.236 million users.

The percentage of subscribers is increasing, and there is growing use of mobile services, especially data transfer. Subsequently, average income per user is also higher. On a yearly scale, it has increased by 10.1 percent.
