Three of the indices on the Bulgarian Stock exchange registered negative values at the weekly close of business. After the slow start of trade on Monday and Tuesday when a slight increase was registered, during the following three weekdays the indices lost some of their positions and they ended at negative values.

SOFIX lost 1.67% to end the week at 1891 points.
The wide BG40 lost 26,06 points of its value dropping to 587,19 points which is a 4,25 % decrease.
The value of the companies part of BGTR30 decreased with a little less than 1% leaving the index at 1193,43 points.
Only BGREIT reached positive values - 105,03 at the weekly close of business that is an increase of 1,53%.

This week ended with a decrease in the basic units on the Bulgarian Stock exchange.

Polimeri AD – Devnya /POLIM/ was the greatest loser dropping with 9,91% to BGN 12,45. This week the company published its financial statements for the first three quarters of the year showing a profit decrease to BGN 14 thousand compared to BGN 2 189 million reported a year ago.

EMKA AD – Sevlievo /EMKA/ lost 8,14% with some of its shares exchanged at BGN 8,14 and Neochim AD /NEOH/ lost 8,03% compared to the end of the week before.

The representative of all three indices, Toplivo AD – Sofia /TOPL/, was another loser; investors who had purchased shares of the company lost 7,97 % of their value.

Chimimport AD, Sofia /CHIM/ was one of the most liquid items on the exchange with a total of 832 transactions. The company lost 3,53% of its market value during the five exchange sessions to drop down to BGN 16,39 per share with a total of 295 thousand lots traded.

Industrial Capital Holding AD – Sofia /HIKA/ was the greatest winner this week. The company registered an increase of 12,10% for the week with 108 thousand shares traded and a price of BGN 11,62.

The shares of Plovdiv-Yurii Gagarin BT AD – Plovdiv /GAGBT / are still among the most attractive ones on the exchange, this week adding 5,55 to their value.

From among the special-purpose vehicles, Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT-Sofia /BREF/ was the most successful one this week registering a 5% increase for the week followed by Agricultural Land Opportunity Fund Mel Invest REIT-Sofia /ALOFMI/ with 4,9% and Intercapital Property Development REIT-Sofia /ICPD/ with 4,43%.

The 200 000 shares offered as part of the initial public offering of Trace Group AD have been paid as was announced on November 2. The sum raised, amounting to BGN 22,1 million, will be utilized for purchase of machines and installations to increase the production capacity and develop the facilities of the holding.

During the week it was announced that Holding Roads PLC /HDPAT/ has concluded a contract with the National Road Infrastructure Fund for a public procurement – a section of the Troyan-Karnare road and a section of the Dermantsi-Ugarchin-Mikre road. The amount of this order exceeds 10% of the holding’s average income for the last 3 years.

Moststroy AD /MOSTS/ reported profit of BGN 53 thousand for the first three quarters as evidenced by the financial statement of the company. For the same period of 2006 the company reported negative financial result of BGN 640 thousand.

Net proceeds from sales register a 45% increase p.a. to reach BGN 25,17 million. Operating costs increase at a slower rate (40%) to reach BGN 25,12 million.

As at September 30 the company has assets amounting to BGN 63,63 million, or 38% more than as at the end of 2006. The total liabilities of the company amount to BGN 56,24 million compared to BGN 41,05 million at the beginning of the year.

The Financial Supervision Commission approved the initial public offering prospectus for the shares issued by Enemona AD – Kozloduy. The company offers 2 million shares through book-building with issue value between BGN 11 and 16,80 which are the minimum and maximum price respectively provided for in the price scope for the public offering. The funds raised will be used for expansion in new business fields – power engineering, utility services and energy efficiency.

Three funds with more than 10% yield in October. Capman Capital and Capman Max – among the top three

Three funds realized more than 10% yield for the period September 28 – October 31 as shown by the mutual fund yield comparison module (for mutual funds and investment companies). These include Capman Capital investment company, UG market Maximum mutual fund and Capman Max mutual fund with yield of 14,51%, 11,05% and 10,28% respectively. From the 49 mutual funds, investment companies and voluntary pension funds studied, 45 report positive yield and 4 negative for the past month. The average yield of funds for the period is 3,29% with 23 funds registering above-average yield.
The leader among pension funds is Badeshte voluntary pension fund with a 7% yield for the past month.
Six funds achieved yield between 5% and 10% and 16 – between 3% and 5%. The yield registered by ten funds is between 2% and 3%, the same number of funds registered yield below 2%. Four founds registered negative results where the funds investing in REIT’s (the mutual funds BenchMark Fund – 3 and Alpha index Properties) lost 2,72% and 0,27% respectively.
The SOFIX index realized a 4,58% increase during the reviewed period while BG40 gained 12,7% in the same period. In September 14 funds registered yield exceeding 10% compared to 1 in August, 8 in July, 10 in June and 14 in May.
The assets of mutual funds increased with 23,7% to reach BGN 950,54 million for the period September 15 – October 15.
