After the decrease registered in the past few weeks on the exchange, the market is stable again and at the end of the week all four indices on the BSB registered some increase.This week’s mood on the exchange was mainly determined by the initial public offering of shares of Trace Group AD which had an impact on the overall trade.

On Friday most items on the exchange registered an increase, ending at positive levels. The greatest increase was that of the companies included in BG40 which boosted the index to 613,25 points registering an increase of 2,99%. It was followed by BGTR30 which gained 1,75% to reach 1204,92 points.
Less than 1% was the increase of the shares included in SOFIX and BG REIT (0,53% and 0,22% respectively).

Undoubtedly, past week’s main event was the initial public offering of shares of Trace Group Hold AD. The company offered 200 000 shares with par value of BGN 1 and issue value of BGN 110,50. The value of the orders placed exceeded BGN 32 billion. Orders will be executed on a pro rata basis depending on the final oversubscription figure. The holding group includes companies operating in the field of road construction services, repairs, rehabilitation and maintenance of the road grid and urban services.

This week’s trade on the exchange saw some substantial increase in certain items. The shares of Plovdiv-Yurii Gagarin BT AD–Plovdiv /GAGBT/ which is a representative of BGTR30 increased their value with 18,25% followed by Zaharni Zavodi AD-Gorna Oryahovitsa /ZAHZA/ representative of the wide index, which gained 16,08 %.

The shares of Insurance company Euro Ins-Sofia /EURINS/ turned out to be successful for investors this week. The company was the leader from among those included in SOFIX and registered the greatest yield on the exchange.

The opposite position was taken by the shares of Doverie United Holding PLC-Sofia /DOVUHL/, Kaolin AD-Senovo /KAO/, Industrial Holding Bulgaria PLC-Sofia /IHLBL/ with decrease below 3% at the close of business on Friday.

From among the special-purpose vehicles, the biggest winners were the shares of BenchMark REIT-Sofia /BMREIT/ with 6,09% while those of Agricultural Land Opportunity Fund Mel Invest REIT-Sofia /ALOFMI/ lost 20,56%.

Some of this week’s news was related to the financial statements published by several companies.

Monbat AD-Sofia /MONBAT/ reported net profit for the first three quarters amounting to BGN 12,428 million which is an increase of 130% compared to the first three quarters of 2006. The profit amounts to BGN 2,3 million, or an increase of 409% compared to the same period of last year.

М+S Hydraulic AD /MCH/ reported profit of BGN 3,83 million compared to BGN 3,18 million a year ago. The total operating income amounts to BGN 57,38 million compared to BGN 44,06 million for last year. The net income from the sale of products increased with 24,2% the first three quarters amounting to BGN 54,35 million where the figure for the same period of 2006 amounted to BGN 43,76 million.
