The major stock Indicator SOFIX registered a new record but at the end of the week it closed at negative territory. It closed at 1 489 on Friday. The broad index BG 40 closed at positive territory last week as well. It reached a level of 338.25, which is an increase of 3.11% (10.21pt). One of the biggest winner is Koraboremonten Plant ODESOS /ODES/ whose shares added another 18% to their value. Advance Terafond /ARERA/ registered active trade last week. Its value moved up by 1.62%, reaching near 2bln turnover.

Stock market indices

The biggest winners among BG 40 companies are Korabonten Plant ODESOS /ODES/ with a growth of 18.62% and Hydraulic Elements and Systems /HES/ with 12.49% growth. The weighted average prices of the both companies are BGN 334.08 and BGN 33.89 respectively.

Polimeri /POLIM/ registered a strong positive movement as well, adding another 4.02% to its value and turnover of BGN 200 000.

Among the companies with great downward movement are Web Media Group /WWW/ with an 9.03% decrease and Elprom Zem /ZEM/ with an 8.42%

The offers for Specialized Business Systems (SBS) shares acquisition from the company’s rising capital have continued to be submitted this week. The company has offered 33 620 shares with face value of BGN 50.00. The issue value of shares acquisition is fixed at BGN 68.00. The expiration date for submitting offers is July 24 2007. The intermediary company Capman Inc will announce the subscription list results. According to SBS Initial public offering prospect there will be over-allotment in case of excess interest and the orders will be satisfied proportionally. It was also announced that the company has won three procedures of public offered commissions - one with the Ministry of Economy and Energy and two with the Sofia Municipality.

Lomsko Pivo AD action was held this week, as 20% of the company’s capital was publicly offered for selling. The all amount of 900 000 shares were sold at the maximum price of BGN 3.00. The second day subscription was 7.5 times. The company plans to offer the other 15-20% of the capital at the end of Spring 2008.

According to the Doverie Obedinen Holding reports, the company’s non-consolidated profit accounts at BGN 393 000 for the first half of 2007. The profit for the same period a year ago was BGN 61 000. The total revenues increased by near 30%, which is mainly due to interest payments.

First Investment Bank reported net unconsolidated profit of BGN 19.362 mln for the first six months, which accounts for an increase of more than 62% as compared to the same period last year.

Industrial Capital Holding Sofia /HIKA/ increased its capital from BGN 1 943 995 to BGN 7 775 980 by issuing new shares with face value of BGN 1.00.

The initial Public Offering of Devin is expected to be launched next week. Three mln shares and up to 450 000 old ones in the price range between BGN 5.00-7.00 will be offered to investors by book-building method on July 25, 2007.

Capman Max leader in terms of return
The high-risk funds of Capman and Status Capital, Capman Max and Status New Shares, challenged the top position in the ranking of mutual funds by return. There are a total of 15 high-risk collective investment schemes and investment companies in Bulgaria.
The leader for 2006, Capman Max, achieved a 44.18% return since the beginning of the year and won the first place by June 29, 2007. Status New Shares closely followed it with a 43.03% return. The third position was held by Yug market Fund Management’s new fund, Yug market Maximum, which yielded 38.16%.
The best performing balanced funds were Elana’s Elana Balanced $ Fund and Elana Balanced È Fund, which provided 28.85% and 27.37%. Capman Capital won the third place with 24.82%. It was closely followed by Standard Investment Balanced Fund (24.37%) and UBB Balanced Fund (21.04%).
