This week’s trade operations on the BSE were cautious, without any considerable fluctuations. Nevertheless, at the close of business on Friday all four indices ended with positive values. The greatest growth during the week was that the equally weighted BGTR30 of 3,28%, adding 29,37 points to its value to reach 924,89 points. SOFIX also had an increase ending at 1422,35 points after adding 44,76 points, or a 3,25% growth.
The increase of the wide BG40 was lower: +1,23% toreach 405,06 points. From among the companies included in the index, 30 were profitable, the trading operations with shares of Advance Terrafund REIT-Sofia did not undergo any changes and other 9 closed this week with negative values.
There were no drastic changes in the trading operations with the companies part of the special-purpose index(BGREIT) which determined its growth of 1,13%.

Regardless of the fluctuations of most shares on the exchange and the unconsolidated profit decrease of 41%, the shares of Petrol AD – Sofia /PET/ registered a 25.75% increase for the week after some of its shares were exchanged at more than BGN 7. 270 738 shares were traded with capitalization of BGN 1 758 280.
The shares of Bulgarska Roza-Sevtopolis AD-Kazanlak /SEVTO/ managed to regain some of their lost positions as a result from last week and added 13.53% to their value. 73 thousand shares were exchanged at average price for the week of BGN 2,18, with the last transaction closed at BGN 2.33.
The winners include М+S Hydraulic AD – Kazanlak /MCH/ with a 13.37% price increase after the close of business on Friday.
The losers include the shares of Zaharni Zavodi AD – Gorna Oryahovitsa /ZAHZA/ - 7,48%, followed by Sopharma AD – Sofia /SFARM/ - 3,60% and Bulgarian River Shipping Corporation AD – Ruse /BRP/ - 2,69%.
From among special-purpose vehicles, those successful for investors were Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT-Sofia /BREF/ with a 4,71% increase and Bulland investments
REIT – Sofia /LAND/ + 2,46%, while those who invested in shares of Intercapital Property Development REIT – Sofia /ICPD/ reported a decrease of 2,56%.
Monbat presented their unconsolidated financial statements for 2007. The data announced shows that the positive financial result amounts to BGN 7,46 million with total income of BGN 39,383 million. The company has concluded contracts for construction and assembly works with the Plovdiv and Montana municipalities and a contract with the Turkish Doush Insaat for the construction of a part of the Sofia metro.
The unconsolidated financial statements of Zarneni Hrani show the company’s profit amounting to BGN 12,855 million, total operating income amounting to BGN 44 million, including BGN 36 million net proceeds from sales. The financial proceeds amount to BGN 8 million, while the main impact is that of the positive differences from operations with financial assets and instruments.
Next week, the shares of several new companies will be introduced on the trading floor. The “Unofficial share Market” will offer the issue of Torgotherm AD /ТОRGO/, as well as the issues of Holding Nov Vek AD and the shares of two special-purpose vehicles, Properties Capital investments REIT /PCI/ and PRC REIT /PRC/. The issue of Holding Nov Vek AD results from a capital increase and amounts to 907 586 shares.
PRC REIT /PRC/ will be raising funds on the exchange for investing in commercial, administrative and residential buildings, including construction, renting and purchase and sale. The issue amounts to BGN 650 000 allocated into 65 000 shares, each with par value of BGN 10.
This week’s start coincided with the starting date of the secondary offering of shares of Torgotherm AD. The Board of Directors has registered the company’s issue amounting to BGN 3 million, on the “Unofficial share market, Segment A”. The exchange code allocated is ТОRGO. Today is the starting date of trading with shares of three new companies, as well, PRC REIT, Holding Nov Vek AD and Properties Capital investments REIT.
The issue of Properties Capital investments REIT is in the amount of 650 000 shares, each with par value of BGN 1.
Lev Invest REIT is offering an issue of 150 thousand rights, with par value and issue value per right of BGN 1. Each right entitles the holder to subscribing one new share.
February 12 is the last date for assigning rights entitling the holders to participate in the capital increase of FairPlay Properties REIT and Sopharma Buildings REIT.

As at the end of January, the assets of funds amount to BGN 735 million

As at the end of January 2008, the assets of Bulgarian collective investment schemes amount to BGN 734.995 million dropping from BGN 879.56 million a month earlier, as evidenced by Information collected by Profit.bg and the Bulgarian Stock exchange.
The decrease in assets (over BGN 144 million) is the greatest onein history after in December funds lost close to BGN 30 million and in November – BGN 78 million.
The adjustment on the Bulgarian Stock exchange, in combination with redemptions by both small- and large-scale investors left only two funds with assets exceeding BGN 50 million – DSK Growth and Capman Max – which manage BGN 57.5 million and BGN 54.02 million respectively.
Over BGN 40 million are managed by four investment schemes – Advance Invest, Raiffeisen Fund Shares, Raiffeisen Balanced Fund and DSK Balance.
Only two of the top 20 funds in the country registered an increase in their assets – Advance ipo Fund now has BGN 14.67 million and TBI Eurobond manages BGN 15.31 million compared to BGN 14.77 million for the previous period.
The newest funds on the market, those of the managing company PFBC Asset management – FIB Avangard, Classic and Garant – raised BGN 2.4 million in less than a month while the two funds of Aurora Capital now manage BGN 1.1 million.
