British media company Apace Media turned a profit of GBP 385,000 at its Bulgarian unit for the first half of 2008.
Apace Media is co-owner of Balkan Media Group Limited (BMGL), which controls Diema TV channels jointly with Modern Times Group (MTG).
In spite of the good performance, the company’s total profit is a drop from over GBP 800,000 in the year-ago period.
The three Diema channels outstripped market share expectations and advertising revenue saw a fourfold increase from the previous first quarter, excluding EURO 2008 broadcasts.
