November 17 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's prime minister Albin Kurti has appointed Rifat Latifi new health minister, the prime minister's office announced.
Latifi currently works as professor and director of the Department of Surgery at the New York Medical College and director of the Department of Surgery at Westchester Medical Center, the prime minister's office said in a press release on Tuesday.
Latifi is replacing Dafina Gedza Bunjaku, who has served as health minister since the resignation of Arben Vitia in early October. Vitia resigned to launch a campaign for mayor of Pristina.
