December 3 (SeeNews) - The net profit of Kosovo's banking sector rose to 100.1 million euro ($113.1 million) in the first ten months of 2021, from 65.5 million euro in the same period of last year, the country's central bank said.
The outstanding loan portfolio of Kosovo's banks totalled 3.6 billion euro at the end of October, up 13.4% year-on-year, the central bank said in a monthly report on the banking sector's performance on Thursday.
Deposits in the system totalled 4.6 billion euro at the end of October, up 13.6% year-on-year.
Total assets amounted to 5.8 billion euro at the end of October, higher than 5 billion euro a year earlier.
Return on assets (ROA) rose to 2.4%, from 1.8% at the end of October 2020. Return on equity also increased, to 20.3% from 15.8%.
The figures comprise the financial results of 11 banks. Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo and ProCredit Bank are the largest among them in terms of assets.
