December 7 (SeeNews) - Lender Komercijalna Banka [BEL:KMBN] rose the most among the Belgrade blue chips on Wednesday, adding 4.40% to 950 dinars, as share indices continued to increase, bourse data indicated.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, added 0.04% to 714.78, its highest level since May 26, 2015 when it closed at 717.01. On Tuesday, the BELEX15 gained 1.34% to 714.52.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, rose by 0.75% and reached another three-year high of 1,574.89 on Wednesday, after advancing 1.14% to 1,563.21 points in the previous session.
Trading in shares generated 20.7 million dinars ($180,200/167,400 euro) of turnover versus 23.1 million dinars on Monday. More than one-third of Wednesday's stock turnover was generated by oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] which saw its share price decline by 0.54% to 738 dinars.
Trading turnover in NIS stock came in at 7.9 million dinars as 10,828 shares changed hands. After the session close on Tuesday, NIS revealed plans to boost investments by 6% on the year in 2017.
Civil engineering group Energoprojekt Holding [BEL:ENHL] had the worst performance among Belgrade blue chips on Wednesday, as it lost 2.61% to 2,438 dinars.
On Wednesday, trading in Treasury bonds made 500 million dinars of the day's total turnover of 521 million dinars on the Belgrade Stock Exchange.
