January 31 (SeeNews) - Sales of Swedish fashion retailer Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) in Bulgaria grew by 25% to 641 million Swedish crowns ($73 million/68 million euro) in the fiscal year 2016, ending November 30, the company said on Tuesday.
In local currency, H&M’s sales in Bulgaria increased by an annual 25% in the period under review, the company said in its annual financial report.
On a quarterly basis, H&M's sales in Bulgaria increased by 22% to 181 million Swedish crowns in the September - November period. In local currency, the company’s sales in the fourth quarter increased by 19%.
H&M opened one new store in Bulgaria during the fiscal year 2016, bringing the total number of stores it operates in the country to 19.
