October 11 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian unit of Greek toy retailer Jumbo had posted a net profit of 14.2 million euro ($15.74 million) for the financial year 2015-2016, up by 28% from the previous year, the parent company said.
The combined net sales of the eight Jumbo stores in Bulgaria in the first six months of the financial year that ended on June 30 amounted to 52.8 million euro, up from 46.4 million euro in the year-ago period, Jumbo said in an annual financial report published on Monday.
In Bulgaria, through its subsidiary, Jumbo operates four stores in Sofia, and one in Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas and Russe each. The company employed 532 in Bulgaria as of end of June 2016.
