January 11 (SeeNews) - Croatian telecommunications equipment manufacturer Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT-R-A] led the gainers among the blue chips on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) on Wednesday, bourse data showed.
Ericsson's shares closed 4.45% higher at 1,264.66 kuna ($175.4/167.4 euro), as 533 shares changed hands.
Hotel operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP-R-A] generated the highest trading turnover of 1.5 million kuna. The company's shares closed 1.54% up at 38.93 kuna.
Shipping company Uljanik Plovidba [ZSE:ULPL-R-A] led the blue-chip decliners, as its share price fell 3.8% to 153.04 kuna.
The bourse's total trading turnover dropped to 16.3 million kuna on Wednesday from 30.6 million kuna on Tuesday.
The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the ZSE surged 1.10% to 2,078.74 points, after rising 0.98% on Tuesday.
The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, increased 0.88% to 1,203.53 points after gaining 1.42% in the previous trading session.
The fixed-income CROBIS index edged up 0.04% to 109.0480 points.
