February 2 (SeeNews) - Civil engineering group Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] was the most traded stock on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Thursday, generating almost the entire stock turnover on the bourse, stock exchange data showed.
Energoprojekt won 1.98% on Thursday and closed at 1,290 dinars, touching a high of 1,300 dinars during the day, amid a trading turnover of 335.4 million dinars. A total of 260,020 shares in the company changed hands in three transactions. As a result, the total share turnover on the Belgrade bourse jumped to 343.6 million dinars ($3 million/2.77 million euro) on Thursday from just 12.3 million dinars on Wednesday.
On Tuesday Energoprojekt again generated the bulk of the share turnover on the Belgrade bourse, as 375,172 shares changed hands in four transactions for a total of 493.2 million dinars.
Belgrade share indices increased on Thursday.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, rose 0.54% to 704.63 points. On Wednesday, the index added 0.27% to 600.88.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, increased by 0.51% and closed Thursday's session at 1,548.34 after rising by 0.26% to 1,540.41 on Wednesday.
Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC], a BELEX15 component, was the biggest gainer on the Belgrade bourse on Thursday, adding 5.39% to 26,400 dinars. Only 15 Metalac shares changed hands on Thursday, generating a trading turnover of 26,400 dinars.
Industrial gases maker Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] paced the blue-chip decliners, losing 0.67% to 12,900 dinars, as just 15 of its shares changed hands for a total of 193,500 dinars.
Trading in shares on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) segment contributed 2.6 million dinars to the total turnover on the Belgrade stock market on Thursday.
No Treasury bonds changed hands on Thursday on the Belgrade stock exchange.
