May 21 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) closed higher on Tuesday, with telecommunication services provider Optima Telekom [ZSE:OPTE] leading the blue-chip gainers.
Optima Telekom's shares ended 4.32% higher at 2.90 kuna.
Power transmission equipment manufacturer Dalekovod [ZSE:DLKV] paced the blue-chip decliners, as its shares closed 4.5% lower at 5.94 kuna.
Tourism company Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] generated the highest trading turnover among the blue chips on the ZSE on Tuesday - 5.8 million kuna.
The turnover was boosted by two block transactions in shares of telecommunication services provider Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] - 3.5 million kuna, and electrical equipment manufacturer Koncar Elektroindustrija [ZSE:KOEI] - 2.1 million kuna.
ZSE's total trading turnover increased to 18.8 million kuna ($2.8 million/2.5 million euro), from 12 million kuna on Monday.
The 25-share benchmark share index CROBEX rose 0.26% to 1,858.22 after dropping 0.59% on Monday.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, increased 0.39% to 1,092.24 after falling 1.40% in the previous trading session.
The fixed-income CROBIS index fell 0.08% to 112.9687.
