January 14 (SeeNews) - Croatian developer of bio-based sneakers Miret raised 517,000 euro ($592,000) in fresh capital on global equity funding and trading platform Funderbeam, data published on the platform showed on Friday.
The sum is below its target of 560,000 euro, but far above the minimum target of 400,000 euro it was looking to raise.
The minimum investment was set at 250 euro.
Miret was set up in 2018 and its bio-based sneakers.
“Our main target is to reduce the use of petroleum derivatives and toxic chemicals in material production processes and in the final product,” the company said.
The Zagreb-based unit of Funderbeam, Funderbeam South-East Europe was established in 2016 as a 20:80 joint venture of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) and Estonia's Funderbeam Ventures OU to provide cross-border services to investors and startups.
Last year, the ZSE raised its stake in Funderbeam South-East Europe to 30% from 20%.
