November 25 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) rebounded on Friday, when trading with government bonds generated the bulk of the daily turnover, bourse data showed.
The 19-share equity CROBEX rose 0.58% to finish at 1,914.43 points. The narrower index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, advanced 0.39% to close at 1,131.62 points.
Consumer goods distributor Atlantic Grupa [ZSE:ATGR] was the most traded company with a turnover of 907,000 kuna ($125,000/120,000 euro), as its shared ended flat at 324 kuna.
Hotel owner Plava Laguna [ZSE:PLAG] ranked second by turnover with almost 900,000 kuna. Its shares surged 5.42%, the biggest daily gain on Friday, to close at 1,750 kuna.They are part of the broader equity index, the CROBEX.
Shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] rose 2.04% to end at 401 kuna in a turnover of 413,300 kuna.
In lower turnovers, index heavyweight Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] recouped 0.29%, while another blue chip, food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] gained 0.93%.
The bourse's regular trading turnover surged to 33.6 million kuna from 3.4 million kuna on Thursday, thanks to a 29.9 million kuna transaction with six-year government bonds maturing in 2023, as their price fell to 99.82%.
