September 21 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) dropped for a fourth straight day on Wednesday, as shipping company Tankerska Next Generation [ZSE:TPNG] shined, bourse data showed.
The 22-share blue-chip index, the CROBEX, declined 0.12% to end at 1,974.30 points. The narrower CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, ended 0.47% lower at 1,171.41 points.
Tankerska Next Generation, which is part of the CROBEX, but not a constituent of the CROBEX10, was the most traded share on Wednesday. In block trading, 962, 377 of its shares changed hands at a price of 75 kuna per share, contributing 72.2 million kuna ($9.4 million/9.6 million euro) to the total daily turnover.
Moreover, in regular trading Tankerska was the biggest daily gainer as its shares surged 15.87% to close at 73 kuna in a turnover of 1.2 million kuna.
Hotel owner and operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] generated the highest daily turnover, 1.4 million kuna, in regular trading. Its shares fell 0.98% to end at 30.40 kuna.
Shares of index heavyweight Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] appreciated 0.54% to close at 187 kuna in a turnover of 583,000 kuna.
In a lower turnover, shares of blue chip ICT solutions provider Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] dropped 2.43%.
Thanks to the block deal with Tankerska's shares, the bourse's total trading turnover rose to 78.5 million kuna from 7.4 million kuna on Tuesday.
