December 13 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Croatia in October fell by 16% year-on-year to 855, after losing 1% to 909 in the previous month, the statistical office said on Friday.
The number of permits issued for buildings fell 14% on the year to 724 in October, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works decreased 24% to 131, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
Out of the total number of permits issued in October, 85% were for new construction projects, while 15% were related to reconstruction works.
Based on the number of permits issued in October, 1,365 dwellings are planned to be built, up 5.4% year-on-year.
The total number of building permits issued in Croatia in January-October rose 5.9% year-on-year, reaching 8,282.
