August 24 (SeeNews) - Croatian motor vehicle dealer Auto Hrvatska [ZSE:AUHR-R-A] said its turned to a consolidated net profit of 17.7 million kuna ($2.7 million/2.4 million euro) in the first half of the year from a net loss of 1.2 million kuna a year earlier.
The company's operating income surged 21.6% on the year to 579.8 million kuna through June, while operating costs increased to 560.6 million kuna from 475.9 million kuna a year earlier, Auto Hrvatska said in a filing with the Zagreb bourse on Tuesday.
The company employed 633 people at end June, compared to 682 in the reviewed period last year.
Earlier this year, Auto Hrvatska said it is planning to increase its share capital to 60 million kuna from 50 million kuna via an ordinary share issue.
