October 27 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production fell by an annual 8.41% to 32,555 GWh in the January 1 - October 25 period of 2020, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO).
Domestic power consumption fell 3.77% to 29,604 GWh, data from ESO's weekly bulletin showed.
Electricity exports exceeded imports by 2,952 GWh during the review period, which represents a 38.29% year-on-year decrease in the power trade surplus.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system increased 13.18% year-on-year to 1,108 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system rose 7.41% to 1,667 GWh.
