January 16 (SeeNews) - Sofia-based online shopping platform provider StoreGecko said on Monday it has signed a bilateral partnership deal with US-based e-commerce platform provider BigCommerce.
Under the contract, StoreGecko's services will be offered by BigCommerce platform as one of the exclusive applications that will help online stores around the world manage their products more quickly and easily, StoreGecko said in a statement.
As part of the partnership programme, StoreGecko will be able to offer customers individual e-commerce solutions, thanks to BigCommerce.
"Entering the US market is both a success and a challenge for us because to work with BigCommerce requires quicker development and expansion of our team," Jan Andersen, founder and CEO of StoreGecko, said in the statement.
StoreGecko offers an application for e-shop management. The company was established in 2014 in Bulgarian capital Sofia.
In September 2015, StoreGecko received 100,000 euro ($54,100/51,000 euro) financing and entered a three-month mentorship programme offered by the European accelerator Startupbotcamp in exchange for 8% of its business, local newspaper Capital daily reported at the time. The startup was selected from a pool of 700 companies.
