November 30 (SeeNews) - European logistics network Eurodis said that Bulgarian courier and postal services company M&BM Express has become its member.
"As a member of the Austrian Post Group, M&BM Express has now joined the Eurodis network. This enables the Eurodis network to broaden its footprint to 36 destination countries," Peter Umundum, board member in charge of the parcel and logistics division at Austrian Post and board chairman at Eurodis, said in a statement. "On the other side it also allows M&BM Express to benefit from the strong European service of our combi-freight network."
The Eurodis network is managed by Eurodis Ltd as a central system provider. The network aims to create integrated quality standards in handling B2B and B2C shipments throughout Europe.
"M&BM Express is a strong and very experienced player on the Bulgarian market. Working according to our defined standards as well as applying strong know-how of the respective local markets is a big advantage that all our members provide. We are happy that this can now also be offered in Bulgaria", Christian Knoblich, managing director at Eurodis said in the statement released last week.
In January, Romania's FAN Courier also joined the Eurodis network.
Eurodis has a total of 36 members. In Southeastern Europe the network covers Bulgaria, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
M&BM Express is majority owned by the Austrian Post.
