January 23 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian state-owned electricity grid operator ESO will launch a 2.4 million euro ($2.6 million) tender for the extension and modernization of the energy management system and data environment at its national dispatching centre, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said.
"ESO intends using the proceeds of the grant funds provided by the Kozloduy International Decommissioning Support Fund (KIDSF), administered by the EBRD, and its own financial sources towards the cost of the project," EBRD said in a notice on its website late on Friday.
Half of the cost of the project will be financed by KIDSF while the other half will be covered by ESO.
Procurement is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2017.
The project's implementation is expected to be completed within 11 calendar months.
