January 18 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria-based identity solutions firm Biodit said on Wednesday it has signed new contracts with Belgium's AnB-Rimex and UK-based Databac, expanding its distribution network.
"The partnership with both companies will give us the opportunity to provide our innovative biometric systems to two of the leading European markets. In addition, by the end of January 2017 we expect to sign two contracts with distributors for Scandinavian and German markets," Julian Sofroniev, CEO of Biodit, said in a statement emailed to SeeNews.
In July 2016, Sofroniev told SeeNews that Biodit was close to signing distribution deals with two British companies as part of its expansion plans. The company was also in talks with distributors in Croatia, Germany, Ukraine, France and Italy.
Biodit's next step would be to enter the Asian and African markets where it sees a strong uptrend in the use of biometric technologies, Sofroniev said at the time.
Biodit was founded in 2010 in Spain. Two years later the company moved to Bulgaria. It is a member of the Endeavour entrepreneurs network.
Databac is a distributor of biometric access control systems with offices in London and Barcelona. The company focuses on projects in the hospitality industry.
AnB-Rimex is a distributor and manufacturer of access control systems. The company is presented predominantly on the Belgian market and has a well-developed distribution network in neighbouring countries.
Biodit products include vehicle protection solutions, access control devices, energy consumption optimization products, fingerprint capturing devices and a software product for their operation.
