SOFIA (Bulgaria), February 2 (SeeNews) – The number of residential permits issued in Bulgaria in the fourth quarter of 2016 rose 6.3% year-on-year, reaching 1,122, the statistical office, NSI, said on Thursday.
Compared to the third quarter of 2016, the number of residential building permits issued during the review period fell 5.2%, NSI said in a statement.
A total of 32 permits for construction of office buildings were issued in the September-December period, down 34.7% year-on-year and 37.3% lower compared to the third quarter of 2016.
Permits issued for construction of other buildings rose 33.3% year-on-year to 1,538 in the fourth quarter. Compared to the third quarter of 2016, permits issued for construction of other buildings rose 31.5%.
