SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), September 17 (SeeNews) – Passenger numbers at Bosnia's Tuzla International Airport edged down to 405,532 in the first eight months of 2019 from 408,192 in the like period last year, according to data issued by the airport operator.
In August alone, passenger traffic rose 1.5% on the year but was 2.1% lower on the month, reaching 66,372, figures posted on the website of Tuzla Airport show.
Over the last eight years, from 2011 to the end of 2018, Tuzla Airport welcomed 1,912,262 passengers. In 2018, passenger traffic rose 9.2% to 584,610.
Tuzla is based in the Federation, one of the two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
