SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), August 3 (SeeNews) – Bosnia’s Sparkasse Bank [SASE:ABSB], a unit of Austrian group Steiermaerkische Sparkasse, said its net profit jumped to 11.3 million marka ($6.9 million/5.8 million euro) in the first half of 2021, compared with a profit of 2.3 million marka booked in the like period last year.
The bank's net interest income went up 12.9% on the year, reaching 24.2 million marka in the January-June period, Sparkasse Bank said in a filing with the Sarajevo Stock Exchange last week.
Net income from fees and commissions rose 17.7% year-on-year to 12.3 million marka in the period under review.
The net assets of the Sarajevo-based lender rose to 2.2 billion marka at the end of June, from 2.1 billion marka at end-2020.
