BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), January 23 (SeeNews) – The trade deficit of Bosnia's Serb Republic decreased 12.2% on the year to 1.5 billion marka ($822.9 million/766.9 million euro) in 2016, the entity's statistical office said on Monday.
Exports increased by an annual 9.6% to 2.9 billion marka in 2016, while imports edged up 0.8% to 4.4 billion marka, the statistical office said in a statement.
The entity's largest trading partner in the twelve-month period was Serbia with a 16% share, followed by Italy with 14.4% and Germany with 9.0%.
The Serb Republic and the Federation are the two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina.
