October 21 (SeeNews) - Bosnian betting and gaming software company NSoft led entrants from southeasten Europe (SEE) in this year's edition of Deloitte's ranking of the top 50 fastest growing technology companies in central Europe, according to figures posted on Deloitte's website.
NSoft, which is Bosnia's only representative in Deloitte Technology Fast 50 in Central Europe 2016, ranked 5th with 1,760% revenue growth in the four-year period between 2012 and 2015, figures show.
To be considered eligible for the ranking, the technology companies must have an ownership structure that excludes majority-owned subsidiaries of strategic entities, and have their headquarters in Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia or Slovenia, Deloiite said.
The ranking comprises companies which meet the criteria of annual revenues of at least 50,000 euro ($54,500) in each year between 2012 and 2015, development of proprietary technologies or spending a significant amount of capital on research and development (R&D).
Among the SEE countries, Croatia had the largest number of representatives, six. Software developer Gauss was the country's highest ranked company, in 19th place, with revenue growth of 736% in the four-year period.
Romania followed with four representatives, with all of them ranked in the second half of the top 50 list. Tremend Software Consulting was the fastest growing technology company from Romania, in 37th place, with revenue growth of 399%.
Serbia, Bulgaria and Slovenia had one representative each.
Serbian engineering company High Tech Engineering Center was ranked ninth with 1,109% revenue growth between 2012 and 2015.
Bulgarian IT firm Bulpros took the 24th place with 560% growth while Slovenian IT security company Osi Sistemske integracije was ranked 42nd with 380% increase of revenues in the four-year period ended in 2015.
