January 23 (SeeNews) - Indirect tax revenue in Bosnia rose 5.1% on the year to 7.987 billion marka ($4.5 billion/4.1 billion euro) in 2019, the country's indirect taxation authority said on Thursday.
Net revenue from VAT totalled 5.436 billion marka, while revenue from excise tax amounted to 1.544 billion marka, the indirect taxation authority told SeeNews in an e-mail, without providing figures for year-on-year percentage changes.
Revenue from customs duty totalled 313 million marka, while revenue from motorway tolls amounted to 681 million marka.
The net revenue will be distributed to the state-level government, to the governments of Bosnia's two constituent entities - the Federation and the Serb Republic, and to the Brcko district.
