February 26 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's Federation government said it will allocate 118.2 million marka ($73.2 million/60.4 million euro) to the construction of motorways and fast roads.
Most of the money, 35 million marka, will go towards the construction of the 23-kilometre Lasva - Nevic Polje fast road section, in the central part of the country, the entity government said in a statement on Thursday.
Another 30 million marka will be spent on the first phase of the project for the construction of the Praca - Gorazde fast road, in the eastern part of the country, including a 5.5 km tunnel, the statement read.
The government will also allocate 20 million marka for the construction of the Sicki Brod - Djurdjevik section, part of a fast road connecting the capital Sarajevo to the country's third largest city Tuzla.
A total of 15 million marka will go for the construction and reconstruction of roads in the Sarajevo Canton, and another 6.5 million marka for roads works in the southern city of Mostar. Another 6 million marka will be spent on the construction of a motorway through Sarajevo, and another 1 million marka for the revamp of the Sanski Most - Kamicak fast road in the western part of the country.
The government will also spend 4.7 million marka on the construction of a ring road around Mostar.
The Sarajevo Canton is one of ten cantons forming the Federation.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
