SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), August 23 (SeeNews) – Bosnian state-controlled brown coal mine Banovici [SAJ:RMUBR] said on Tuesday its net loss widened to 1.8 million marka ($1 million/920,300 euro) in the first six months of 2016 from 247,500 marka in the same period last year.
The colliery's operating revenue increased by an annual 4.1% to 72.1 million marka in January-June, while operating costs rose 3.2% to 67.5 million marka, it said in a filing with the Sarajevo Stock Exchange.
Rudnik Mrkog Uglja Banovici is one of the biggest coal mines in the Muslim-Croat Federation, one of the two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other entity is the Serb Republic.
