January 27 (SeeNews) - A consortium comprising Bosnian companies Prijedorputevi, Kozaraputevi, ABC Solution and Metaling filed the sole bid in a tender to build a bridge in Banja Luka, offering to do the job for 3.75 million marka ($1.9 million/1.8 million euro), the city authorities said on Monday.
The launch of works on the 65-metre long and 11-metre wide Toplice bridge could start next month, the municipal government said in a press release.
"The new bridge will speed up traffic in this part of town, of cargo vehicles in particular," Slavisa Sandic, head of Banja Luka's municipal department for transport and roads said.
The bridge will have two traffic lanes and 2-metre wide pedestrian lanes.
Banja Luka is the largest city in the Serb Republic - one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
