July 30 (SeeNews) - The share indices of Bosnia's two stock exchanges, the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) and the Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE), ended higher on Friday, compared to their values a week earlier, bourse data showed.
The 10-share benchmark SASX-10 index of the SASE ended Friday's session at 877.52 points, up 1.45% compared with its July 23 closing value.
The broader SASX-30 index, which is composed of the 30 most liquid stocks on the SASE, closed 0.51% higher at 1,471.42 points.
The SASE index tracking investment funds, the BIFX, edged up 0.46% to 953.30 points.
The Islamic stock index SASX-BBI, launched by SASE and Bosna Bank International (BBI), increased by 1.24% to 9,808.30 points. The index tracks 25 companies.
SASE’s turnover rose to 1.1 million marka ($667,800/562,400 euro) this week from 129,045 marka last week.
SASE is based in the Federation, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The BLSE is based in the other entity, the Serb Republic.
The BLSE’s benchmark index, the BIRS, closed at 562.21 points on Friday, up 1.32% compared to the closing value recorded a week earlier.
The bourse's total trading turnover rose to 16.8 million marka this week from 10.3 million marka last week.
Telecommunication services provider Telekom Srpske [BANJ:TLKM-R-A] contributed the largest portion of this week's total trading turnover among the companies on the BLSE, of 53,813 marka. The company's shares closed flat at 1.08 marka on Friday.
